MONMOUTH PRSSA TO HOLD FUNDRAISING EVENT
Shadow PR Firm to Provide LinkedIn Headshots to Monmouth Students
West Long Branch, New Jersey – Shadow PR Firm, Monmouth University’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter, will be offering professional headshots for Monmouth University students on Wednesday, November 8th, from 2-4 p.m. outside the Rebecca Stafford Student Center.
Kaitlyn Sisombath, Shadow PR Firm’s Director of Events and Fundraising, encourages Monmouth University students from all majors to “ditch the selfie” and seize the opportunity to professionalize their LinkedIn profiles. “Is your LinkedIn profile photo a selfie? Is your dog or grandmother featured in your photo?” she asked, before quickly responding, “We love gram’, but If the answer to any of those questions is ‘yes’ — you need a headshot!” said Sisombath.
LinkedIn has grown excessively in popularity and has become one of the biggest platforms for businesses and professional individuals. After submitting a resume, it takes only a few seconds for an employer to search the candidate online and view his or hers LinkedIn profile. First impressions matter and when an employer is debating two candidates a professional online presence will give you an edge.
The headshots will be taken by Shadow PR Firm’s Creative Director, Fiona Mullen, and each headshot will cost three dollars. Please visit www.fionamullenphotography.com to view some of Fiona’s work.
