Milan Fashion Week S/S 2017 began Wednesday, September 21 and concluded on the 27th. Just as the shows in New York and London featured the sleepwear trend is up-and-coming this Spring of 2017, according to the designers of Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Ports 1961. But you know the look is never subtle with additions such as the belt bag, disco-ready sequins and feather-trim. Fabric wise, knitwear is still a major sales category along with sheer fabrics like chiffon and silk gauze to display the see-through effect, especially in the shows of Fendi and Pucci.
DOLCE & GABBANA The black lace creates an edgy dark vibe that is lightened by the see-through element encompassing most of the design.
DOLCE & GABBANA The embellished military style is present in the mustard colored halter top and matching mini skirt. The white t-shirt underneath the halter adds to the uniformed component of the design; however, the fringed strappy sandals create a more casual style.
FENDI The chunky sunglasses add to the already high-fashion chicness of the design. The tucked in halter top and long flowing skirt create a casual sense to an extravagant style.
FENDI The ultra chic bell-sleeved mini skirt dress screams “mistress” as the sexy revealing length is encouraged by the high heels.
MISSONI The comfort is evident in the excessive crochet use of the long sleeved shirt and colorful miniskirt. The five lines of various colors creates the illusion that the skirt is shorter than it appears. The pointed golden flats creates a focus on the model’s legs.
MOSHINO The street style sweatpants design promotes the brand “Moschino” on both the sweatshirt and pants. The high heels are not “too much” as the clothing itself is only a subtle gray.
ROBERTO CAVALLI The sequined goddess-like dress glows as the sections barred from sequins leave nothing to hide behind the mesh-like fabric exhibiting the see-through effect.
SALVATORE FERRAGAMO The two-toned design remains subtle featuring a puffy white top with drawstring sleeves and a navy midline peplum skirt.
TOD’S The snakeskin collar and cuffs outline the blue blouse and matching shorts putting a sporty twist on men’s workwear. The style features Tod’s signature shoe.
VERSACE The colorblock three-quarter zip and sleeve top and tight leggings become professional when paired with a pair of strappy open-toed black heels.
VERSACE The colorblock three-quarter zip and sleeve jacket with a flowing A-line slit silky looking skirt and laced up knee-high heels with a matching backpack puts a sporty twist on sexy casual night club wear.
